There is a mine near Kambalda in Western Australia where most of the heavy machinery is remote controlled. The mine is owned by a Chinese company and the controllers live and work in Perth, 632 kilometres away. A friend’s son works there. She’s just come back from a visit. There are humans working on the site, but they do the work the machines can’t. That is, until the remote control robots arrive. I don’t know if that is the plan, but Chinese companies have been using remote controlled robots for a while now. Until they’re reliable they won’t make it to a worksite. None of these automated vehicles are AI controlled and able to make decisions. Humans still make the decisions and control the actions, from Perth. What could possibly go wrong? Any remote control vehicle can be hijacked. An electrical storm can disrupt a radio signal. A controller can be distracted. Electronic components can fail. Everything works, until it doesn’t. Most are designed to stop safely if something goes wrong. But a stopped machine isn’t producing anything. And the controllers see the result, not the cause. Online businesses are the same. You can see there aren’t any sales. It’s not always easy to see why. That’s why I built the Have A Go system. It helps find the interruption in your sales. Then it keeps you on track with a single action to clear it. You’ll find it here https://link.ckv.to/have-a-go Regards, |
