Every marketer needs a file of the emails that got you to open, the VSLs that got you to watch them, the sales pages that got you to buy, and anything else that got you to click a link or subscribe for something. Because if those things got you to take action, perhaps you can use some of the ideas in your marketing. When you’re looking for an angle, or a high-impact headline, searching your swipe file will trigger something. For most of those copying them to your swipe file is easy. Copy paste done. The videos are not that easy. Mostly you can’t just download them. What I’ve been doing for years is using Camtasia, CapCut, or Loom to record the screen as the video plays. This works and some videos you can speed up to record and slow down to export, but you can’t use your computer while the recording is being done. I got tired of this so I asked Claude for some help and between us we made a tool that downloads videos in the background. It doesn’t work with all videos, but it certainly does with many of them. I haven’t tried it with a webinar yet, so I can’t report on that, but it should work with a webinar replay if not the original stream. There’s still a little testing to be done, but if something like this might be useful for you, reply to this email and ask for the PDF. I plan to put this on Gumroad, that might happen tomorrow.
