Every ride. Something different happens. Two things today. The first was harmless A parrot, I didn’t see what type, fled from a tree as I approached. If you’ve ever heard some of our parrots you may know that they sound like banshees. A screaming parrot flashed in front of me and clipped me. Nothing serious, just the screaming and the touch of feathers. I laughed. The second was potentially more serious. A brown snake was warming itself on the bike track. At least a metre (3 feet) long. Hard to be precise at 25 km/h with most of it already heading into the grass. It left as I approached. Brown snakes are among the most venomous in the world, but usually happy to get out of your way. This one seemed extremely happy to leave. I was happy to see it being happy. There’s no screaming with a snake, except by people who are not used to seeing them. I’ve had dealings with many snakes over my years living in country areas. I’ve never had to kill one, and I’d rather not have to. In Australia, there are many creatures living with people. Mostly, neither the people nor the creatures interact. We leave them alone and they leave us alone. It’s a mutual pact of ignore. Regards, P.S. Something you shouldn’t ignore: the things no one told you that you need to do to make sales. These are the things that successful marketers do that others do not.
