Is that what’s stopping you? I know it’s stopped me for many years. You’ve probably seen stories about those young turks who flash onto the business scene with a super successful company. They’re usually in their 20’s and making millions. Everybody is WOW, look at them. But, a few years down the track and where are they? They’ve often crashed and burned because of several things. Sometimes they don’t understand that they were extremely lucky, and think they’re geniuses. So they try to replicate their success in a different field and go broke. Sometimes success gets in their way and they become reclusive to get out of the public eye. Sometimes they resort to alcohol or drugs to overcome their imposter syndrome because they don’t believe they deserve their success. All of these are the result of being scared to be successful. We see it in business, sport, entertainment. But, that’s for the high-flyers. What about you and I? When we’re scared of success we sabotage our efforts. We do that by failing to make that phone call, send that email, buy that traffic, not completing that sales page, and a myriad of other subtle ways. Product perfectionism is another one. It pretty much all comes down to not doing what needs to be done. But why? We say we want to be successful, but do we really? Is it more about playing the hobby of success without committing to it? If you make too much money will your friends still like you? Will your partner leave and take 1/2? Will they love you more or less? For most of us more money in the bank will make life easier. Because while it’s only a fantasy we can enjoy it without the risk of anything changing, and change is bad – apparently. News flash: Change is inevitable. You can’t avoid it. Since it is inevitable, it makes sense to engineer the change you want rather than the one one someone else dumps on you. So read this book https://go.wm-tips.com/atomic and prepare to control the changes. Regards, |
