When the annex is erected on the caravan there are a couple of small flaps that attach via velcro to the flexible part of the pop-top. This material is vinyl on our van, others are canvas. On out last trip, last week, the wind was strong enough to tear the loop part of the velcro from the vinyl. The double-sided tape of that strip wasn’t strong enough. So I asked ChatGPT how best to fix it. After a bit of chatting we came to the conclusion that Selleys Kwik Grip would do the job. Off I trundled to the local Bunnings store and purchased the adhesive. Back home I prepared the surfaces, added the adhesive, and replaced the loop strip. All of the required steps were provided by ChatGPT. Tomorrow I’ll check that the job is done, but it seems OK at the moment. All pretty simple really, except ChatGPT was able to tell me which aisle and bay the Kwik Grip would be found, and it was right. There is no YouTube video that could have told me that. The Google search AI result might have done that for me, but it would have taken several searches to get there. Using ChatGPT for this was like chatting to the helpful people at Bunnings, but easier. I read an article recently that suggested people are abandoning the search engines for AI searching, and I can understand why. When anyone can use a simple tool like this to get answers to most problems they have quickly and easily it would be easy to think the writing is on the wall for Google. I don’t buy into that thinking. 90% of the online population still don’t know about the AI tools and what they can do, so you still have the advantage. You can build a website in a day, send traffic to it the next https://fas.st/t/po9fHkDL, have commissions or sales by the end of the week. You can build a lot of sites on a single domain. You don’t need a domain for each. Just build a new sub-domain for each new site. Ask ChatGPT for help if you need it, but the process is pretty simple once you’ve done it once. Subdomains look like this – . The search engines treat that as a different site to . Or you can use one of the free sites like Blogger, Wix, sites.google.com, Tumblr, etc. Need help? Ask. Regards, |
