Today, the 24th of Dec, we had the first Christmas lunch which didn’t go so well. One family couldn’t make it because they have a couple of people come down with some form of gastro. I have managed to catch something approaching a cold. So we went, but I basically isolated myself from the rest of the guests. I was supplied with food and drink so I didn’t touch anything. Not the best. Tomorrow the Christmas Lunch is supposed to be at the home of the family with gastro, so we won’t be going. We’ve relocated Christmas Lunch to Boxing Day as no other days for the remainder of the week fit everyone. It’s hoping that no one in that family have any more symptoms before then. It is like the covid lockdown years when we delivered food to one family who were isolating themselves. What’s life without challenges? Everybody has challenges because not everything goes smoothly to plan. The challenge isn’t the problem, it’s how you deal with it that counts. I’m wishing you all a very Merry Christmas, if you celebrate that, a Happy Hanukkah for those who celebrate that, and best wishes for the festive season for the rest of you. When I was looking up what holidays are celebrated on the 25th I uncovered one interesting one for the month of December. It happens to be National Write a Business Plan Month. That sure beats any New Years Resolutions that you can dump by February 1st. Writing out a business plan that has a loose action plan for first three months, with a tighter plan for the first three weeks, and a firm action plan for the first week will go a long way to making 2025 a successful year.
