There we were, three young men lost and confused in the outback. It was after midnight, and the moon hadn’t risen, so it was black as pitch. When suddenly we realised, with pounding hearts, that we couldn’t see our car. We’d stopped for a nature break and turned off the engine and all the lights. Off the side of the road for 10 metres, we had little idea which direction to go back. My hands were wet with sweat, nothing else. Seeing my fellow travellers from a couple of metres away wasn’t easy, and the car had vanished. Even the road had vanished. What could we do? Ouch. A small stone hit me. The owner had started throwing stones in an attempt to hit the car but hit me instead. Reluctant to move far from where we were standing, knowing that we could be getting further away rather than closer, the indecision crept towards fear. We all knew how dangerous the outback could be for unprepared people, and we had nothing but the clothes on our backs. Yes, we did have a car somewhere nearby, but we couldn’t see it. We were resigning ourselves to sit down and wait until moonrise when we saw a vehicle approaching. As they came closer, the headlights picked out our car, and it was with great relief that we were able to continue our journey. You may never experience driving at night in the outback of Australia, but if you do and need to stop, leave your lights on. Simple mistakes can kill. Regards, P.S. On the digital superhighway, no mistakes kill, but simple mistakes can kill your dreams of being financially secure. The one that causes the greatest pain is not starting your email list. There are multiple autoresponder services that you can sign up for and use. For your first list, it probably doesn’t matter which you start with, but I currently think that the best place to start is with a free Systeme account. https://go.wm-tips.com/systeme. You can set up your squeeze page and link it to your email autoresponder. Even if that is all you do, you can begin building your email list immediately. |
