I went looking for sinkholes once, for fun. Mt Gambier sits on limestone. Rainwater eats it, so the area is full of caves and sinkholes. Rainwater is slightly acidic. A sinkhole is a cave with no roof. I had a map of the known sinkholes. There’s one near where I lived then, called Hell’s Hole. Hell’s Hole is about 45 m across (about 148 ft), the water’s 25 m deep (about 82 ft), with the water surface about 38 m (about 125 ft) below the viewing platform. When you stand on the edge on your own it feels like it’s drawing you in. It’s a weird feeling. It’s like something in your head is saying, “Go on, just jump.” You wouldn’t get out, the sides are too steep. Regards, P.S. Online business has its own “Go on, just jump” voice. Every new launch whispers it. Plenty of us jumped. Then spent years trying to climb the sides. Tony Shepherd reckons he lost about four years down there. Profit Wormhole is the eight rules he wishes someone had told him first. A wormhole’s the opposite of a sinkhole. It gets you somewhere faster than the long way round. https://link.ckv.to/profit-wormhole |
