Most people will not develop genuine passive income, but some will.
The reason is that most people don’t understand what it is.
Hit songs, best-selling books, real estate, shares in profitable businesses, etc. are all examples of passive income.
Art collections, precious stones or metals, cryptocurrencies, etc. are not.
Those things might grow in value, but they do not produce income.
Your definitions might vary from mine, but as far as I’m concerned passive income is anything that pays money into your account that you don’t have to do anything else for.
Essentially, anything that you’ve done or paid for once that continues to generate an income.
It is possible to create this while you work for a boss, but most people don’t do what’s required.
Yep, there have been several fires already which will be blamed on Climate Change when they’re really caused by morons with matches.
Here in South Australia we have a slightly different approach to bushfires to other states and countries.
The two biggest differences are that on days of extreme fire danger the power company can turn of the power to prevent sparks from conductor clashes starting fires.
The second is that water bombers are called in immediately, we don’t wait for the fire to get out of control.
We had a fire started a few days ago about 3 – 4 km from our home.
We were never going to be at risk, but it was nice to see two fixed wing bombers and three helicopter bombers over the fire within 10 minutes of the first alert.
When you treat all fires are high risk you manage the risk better and get a better outcome.
I’m wishing you all a very Merry Christmas, if you celebrate that, a Happy Hanukkah for those who celebrate that, and best wishes for the festive season for the rest of you.
When I was looking up what holidays are celebrated on the 25th I uncovered one interesting one for the month of December.
It happens to be National Write a Business Plan Month.
That sure beats any New Years Resolutions that you can dump by February 1st.
Writing out a business plan that has a loose action plan for first three months, with a tighter plan for the first three weeks, and a firm action plan for the first week will go a long way to making 2025 a successful year.
Read yesterday’s email for something you can start your planning around.
Modern PBNs utilise free and paid platforms to build their links to their money sites.
They might have a Pinterest account, a TikTok account, a YouTube account, an X account, something on Facebook, an Instagram account, a Blogger account, something on Google sites, a Tumbler account, a WordPress.com account and a WordPress blog, etc.
Most of these can be free pages focussed on a single keyword that is not targeted on any of the other sites.
Most of these have 5 – 10 pages for the particular micro-niche and they link to 2 other sites, one of the PBN sites and the money page.
But, the crucial thing here is to monetise each of the tier 1 sites so they are legitimate sites in their own right.
All of these links are the type of thing that Google wants to see so they’ll reward you with rankings and organic visitors.
Yes, it does take work, but what’s it worth to have evergreen relevant visitors to your pages?
Are you prepared to put in a few months work for years worth of income?
Here’s one platform that allows you to build a blog for free.
This may be a bit woo-woo for you, but I have it on good authority that this works.
I recently came across a powerful piece about the Hawaiian healing practice of Ho’oponopono, no I don’t know how to pronounce that either, but I thought I should share these core insights with you.
This method is based on four simple yet transformative phrases:-
I’m sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.
This aims to help individuals clear away old patterns, release resentment, and return to a state of “zero,” where life can be approached with clarity, love, and openness.
The article explained how Ho’oponopono emphasises personal responsibility for what we experience, teaching us that by healing ourselves from within, we can improve our relationship with the world around us.
Rather than trying to change outside circumstances or people, this practice invites us to look inward, offer sincere apologies, seek forgiveness, and embrace gratitude and love.
Over time, this gentle self-cleaning process can lighten emotional burdens, reduce stress, and restore balance.
The key takeaway is that inner peace isn’t achieved by external fixes, but through regular, heartfelt repetition of these phrases, allowing us to soften our hearts, release old hurts, and show up in life with greater authenticity and kindness.
If you’ve been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or burdened by past conflicts, consider giving Ho’oponopono a try.
It may help you find the peace and clarity you’ve been seeking.
The problem is that most people don’t deliberately cultivate the right sort of habit.
What they get is the gradual accumulation of habits that lead to bad outcomes for them.
Developing the habit of smoking, or drinking alcohol, or recreational drugs, or all three will lead to significant health problems unless you break the habit.
Developing the habit of buying your lunch and coffees on a regular basis will reduce the disposable income that you could be using for better things.
Subscriptions you don’t use are bleeding you dry.
It’s a habit to not check those things regularly.
All of those negative habits are easily replaced with better habits.
The ones that get you out of bed early enough to get in some exercise before you start your day.
The ones that get you eating better.
The ones that get you working on your business instead of watching the idiot box.
