…that is the question.
Decimate is a word that had a singular meaning, but has been changed by people using it incorrectly.
The original meaning of decimate was to reduce by 10% .
Deci is from Latin for ten and is used in words like decimal which means a base of tens.
Anyway, because people used decimate instead of devastate the meaning is gradually evolving to mean completely annihilate or reduce by 90% (ish).
It still annoys me when I read it in a book or hear people using it on the news or other places.
I can’t help that, I was raised by an English teacher.
The lesson here though is that as writers we need to use the language that our audience uses.
I don’t do that in these emails because I use Australian English and spelling even though most of you are from the USA.
No doubt some of you will have picked that up.
I suspect, without clear proof, that Google ranks pages with USA English above pages with English as spoken and written in other English speaking counties even when they might otherwise rank better .
It’s all to do with what they see as ‘proper’ grammar and spelling.
Can anyone provide proof or disprove my thoughts on this?
When I want to write for the USA audience I use Grammarly to change my perfectly good English to a different version of perfectly good English.
It’s just a setting.
You’ll find Grammarly here: https://go.wm-tips.com/grammarly .

Yeah, sure.
Actually, yeah .
Let’s step back a little.
What do sites like Huffington Post, NBC, Reuters, CBS, NY Times, etc. have in common?
They don’t create new content.
They report on other people’s content.
They make a lot of money, shedloads of money.
The Huffington Post sold to AOL for $315 million in 2011 , and they gave the founder the job of keeping it going.
So what? You ask.
Simples, my eager reader.
You can do the same as them.
No promises that you’ll be able to sell out for millions, but you can make a decent living from curating other people’s content on your site.
Choose your niche.
Set up Google alerts or an RSS feed in that niche so you get the latest news every day.
Feed that news from as many sources as you can find into NotebookLM and get a summary or a podcast.
If you’ve grabbed the summary you can also get more info via any AI tool.
Write your curation of that content and post it.
If you post 2-3 posts per day it won’t be long before you’re getting visitors.
Put ads and links on your site and you’ll begin getting conversions.
It’s not hard to do now, unlike when Arianna Huffington started.
Anyway, it’s your call.
Regards, Brent.
P.S. Once you have your summary, ask ChatGPT to suggest keywords that people would search for to find this content.
Than take the keyword to https://go.wm-tips.com/insight to find more high-volume, low-competition keywords to wrap your new curated content with.
That should speed up your traffic generation.

I used one AI tool to help.
Windsurf, https://codeium.com/windsurf , wrote the content which I edited slightly then asked ChatGPT to convert it from markdown to something I could post on a WordPress blog.
I took one image from wikipedia and one is the whistle i have now, the video came from youtube.com.
All up it took about an hour to put the whole lot together.
Not hard to do, contains all factual information based on my research, and the images are all either owned by me or copyright free.
I’ll have to repeat the exercise with other things that might be useful information for writers.
Let me know what you think.

In the days of Windjammers and Cutters the sailors were trained to respond to a whistle , like sheepdogs, rather than shouted commands.
The reason for that is that during a storm shouted commands were impossible to hear, but the whistle cut through to tell the sailors what to do.
The whistle used is called a Boatswain’s Call.
The Boatswain is the officer in charge of the rigging, sails and sailing equipment.
This whistle has been used on English ships since the thirteenth century and something similar is known to have been used on Roman Galleys.
While this tool isn’t used to issue orders any more, the navy still uses it to pipe the captain or special guests on board.
You will probably heard this used in some movies with a nautical theme.
Why am I telling you this?
Because today I was given one, and I like to find out as much as I can about interesting artefacts.
It came in a wooden box, appears to have been made of brass, and it came with instructions on how to use it.
So, I’ll learn how to use it and some of the calls, then it’ll go on the shelf as a curio.
Probably alongside the 18th century opera glasses.
I’m not going to attempt some cheesy reference to marketing now, it just wouldn’t fit well.
Regards, Brent.
P.S. I might, however, write a blog post on the subject for one of my websites as a reference for writers, or I could use this free tool to do it for me. https://codeium.com/windsurf .
I know it builds great pages with very little input, in fact I think I’ll set it going now.
I was asked to help automate a process for a fellow marketer.
͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏
I was asked to help automate a process for a fellow marketer.
Essentially this involves getting data from a spreadsheet and pasting it into a form which is then submitted.
In terms of programming this is a fairly simple process, except in this case.
The process involves logging into a website first, navigating to the form which happens to be dynamic .
What that means is that as data is pasted the form changes.
Some things need to be pasted in in a particular order or it doesn’t work.
There is an excellent tool built into every Mac which very few people use that is designed to automate things .
I haven’t used it before so I decided to use ChatGPT to help speed up my learning curve.
Wow, did it ever speed things up.
In a matter of days I had a working automation from scratch.
The code ChatGPT created was a little clumsy, but it did work.
I had to guide it a bit as I discovered more about what was required, but I think that someone with no previous coding knowledge could have done the same.
Maybe not as fast, but by reporting errors and asking for instructions on how to use the code they would have got there.
I can’t tell you the person’s name or the website I was doing the work on, but I can tell you that I’m guessing that he’s making between $15k – $30k per month for doing about two hours ‘work’.
My automation will reduce that to about 1/2 hour.
What he has done is brilliant, under-the-radar, and highly profitable.
It’s simple, requires no technical knowledge, and is essentially a copy paste task.
All this to prove to you that making money online does not have to be hard or complicated.
All you need to do is find a problem people have and solve it for them.
When you do that well they will pay you for it.
Using the keyword “How to” in this tool, https://go.wm-tips.com/insight , will show you all the things people want to know how to do.
Find one that has very little competition and that could be your $30k per month gold mine.

Apparently, making 10 pins daily is only enough to warm-up Pinterest.

Apparently, making 10 pins daily is only enough to warm-up Pinterest.
Once you’ve done that for a week it seems that you’ll need to ramp that up.
How many?
50+ every day until you’re getting the traffic you want.
So, how do you make 50+ pins every day without working 12 hour days?
You use AI of course.
Feed ChatGPT the keywords relating to your board.
Ask for 50 titles related to those keywords.
Ask for a short description for each of those keywords.
Ask for the output to be put in a table.
Copy the table and paste it into a spreadsheet .
Download the spreadsheet as a CSV file.
Go to Canva and open a Pins template .
Get your design how you want it with a headline field and a description field.
You can upload your CSV file and map the headline and description fields to your template.
Click the create button and you’ll get 50 pins.
You might have to modify them a little.
Canva can upload each of those pins separately or as a bundle, don’t do them as a bundle.
This will take you an hour or so the first time you do it, but you’ll get faster.
By the time you’ve done this for another week or so you will be getting decent traffic to whatever site you’ve linked to.
One little tip that I learned recently is to make little videos for the background on some of these pins.
Apparently the motion makes them stand out more causing the scroller to stop and click.
I haven’t tried that yet so it’s still heresay, but it does make sense.

Firstly, go here. https://www.wealth-management-tips.com/bitcoin-value-calculator/ .
I built this page 100% with a new, to me, AI tool.
What’s unique about this one is that it’s a desktop tool , and it’s free.
For now at least, there is a pro level which is extremely low-cost.
The training videos I found on YouTube are pretty good and this is powerful.
The page you see above has a dynamic graph and the form works to calculate how much your Bitcoin would be worth today if you invested in any year back to 2019.
Now I’m not a fan of Bitcoin, but there are millions of people who are and they want to know that investing in this cryptocurrency might give them a decent return.
Because of the rather complex coding and the need to access historical data this took a bit of back and forth with the tool.
Then I asked it to convert the web page it did build to a WordPress page.
Overall it probably took several hours, but I don’t think I could have done that in a single day let alone a part day.
The tool is called Windsurf and you’ll find it here.

Often when people offer you a plugin for Chrome they’ll at the very least suggest that it won’t work in other web browsers.
That’s not true.
Any web browser that’s based on the Chromium core will handle any plugin for the Chrome web browser , except one.
The one web browser that will not accept a Chrome plugin is the DuckDuckGo web browser because it is tightly secure .
It won’t accept any browser plugins because they could introduce security issues.
That makes it ideal for watching YouTube videos because YouTube cannot insert their ads into the videos – woohoo.
If the creator has inserted their own advert in the video you’ll still see them, but you won’t see the YouTube insertions.
OK, other than that exception, which web browsers do work with the Chrome plugins?
Opera.
Brave.
Vivaldi.
Arc.
Edge.
SRWare Iron.
Epic.
Ungoogled-chromium.
Avast.
Comodo Dragon.
These are ones that I have used that stop YouTube, and by extension Google, data collecting your online activities.
For me the bottom line is that using Chrome makes me the product for Google, and I don’t like that.
Incidentally, that’s also why I’ve stopped using a mobile phone with an Android OS.
OK, all this was triggered by a video about the Keywords Everywhere plugin where it was stated that it wouldn’t work in anything but Chrome.
Nope, it works fine in all those other web browsers, and there is a plugin for Firefox so you are not restricted to one browser.
Why use this keyword tool?
It’s free for basic searching, and dirt cheap for the pro level.
It’s almost as good as Ahrefs and way cheaper.
The only thing that Keywords Everywhere won’t do for you is get the People Also Ask keywords.
For that you need https://go.wm-tips.com/insight ,

Now you’ll start to get all the Christmas promotions.
And the scammers will be out in force so take care.
Let’s talk about more interesting things.
In a group I’m active in that some of you are also in one of the participants was talking about AI making songs for him
Over a period of days he made over 200 songs with this tool and ended up with enough good ones that he could make 5 albums.
That’s one way to make money from an AI tool.
Another way would be to bundle up all the songs and sell them as Royalty Free music.
Or, you could put them to a video and post them to a YouTube channel.
People use YouTube music clips as background music for parties, etc.
You can add merchandise etc. to your description.
That doesn’t seem too onerous does it?
You can begin playing with one of the music AI tools here.

She’s not marking at as a Black Friday special, except it really is .
About 5 years ago she launched a Journal Creator tool.
It’s not an AI tool as such, but it still works extremely well .
If you’ve ever considered getting into the low-content books market, which can be quite lucrative this might be a good fit.
Anyway, she’s reverted her sales page for a a day or so back to the original launch pricing.
That means that it’s not on a monthly plan at the moment, it’s just a one-off payment.
I don’t know how long she’s going to keep this available at this pricing, but I wouldn’t delay.
When you buy this, email me with your receipt and I’ll send you a video of one way to use AI to make these really fast.
The bonus is not, and probably will not be available for sale anywhere.
Go here to see if this is a good fit for you.
