Everyone has ideas, hundreds of them. They flit through your head all day and half the night. Most people, not you of course, do nothing with their ideas. They might as well not have them, but they can’t stop them short of a frontal lobotomy. What do you do with all these ideas? They seem to come and vaporise in time for the next one to flash in. Here’s the best thing you can do. Write them down. Carry a little notebook if you have to and write them down with enough information to be able to work with them later. If that doesn’t work for you, your mobile phone has a voice recording function. Take voice notes as you go. Later, when you’re thinking about what to write about or create a product on, open your notes and scan for a good one. Not all of them are good ones for now. Some will become good ones later, and some you’ll never use. It doesn’t matter because now you’ll never run out of content ideas. When you’re working on your idea, make sure you finish it and publish it somewhere. Finished doesn’t mean perfect. It means done. Clean it up later if you want, or perhaps rewrite it from another angle. Writers publish. Regards, P.S. I was talking with Amber today about her new Etsy alternative, and she told me the platform is on fire. There have been thousands of people joining and building their stores. People are migrating away from Etsy to reduce their fees. And it’s easy to do so because you can import your Etsy store into the new platform. Awesome. What that means for you is that all these new stores will bring thousands of shoppers to the site. Shoppers to one store browse other stores. Do you want to be one of those? |
