A UFO is an Unidentified Flying Object. It doesn’t have to be a flying saucer or an alien visitor from another planet or solar system. It’s just a flying object that is not unidentified. It could be an experimental aircraft of terrestrial origin. The two I saw were coming from the east as I drove north into Mt Gambier. I saw two lights that I thought were the landing lights of a light aircraft, which was not unusual, but I stopped because I like to watch aircraft. Then the lights changed position as they swapped sides. Now that isn’t something a single plane can do, so I got very interested. They were both still flying towards me. I rang a friend. “Hey Darren, go out to your backyard and look towards Grant High.” “OK.” Long pause. “What the F#$%k is that?” “What do you see?” I asked. “There’s two lights heading west; no, they’re turning south now.” “Thanks for confirming for me. I have no idea what they are, but they are not landing at the airport as they’ve now turned away from it.” They continued to head south until I couldn’t see them anymore. South of Mt Gambier is Antarctica, a long way south with no land other than a few small unpopulated islands with no landing strips. What were they? I have no idea except that they didn’t behave like aircraft, and they were not heading to an airport. Regardless of your beliefs, I know what I saw and have independent verification that it wasn’t my imagination. Regards, P.S. There are many things in our world that we don’t understand.
