Despite surface appearances, people have changed very little over the last several hundred years.

• We all still have hopes and dreams.

• We all still crave love and appreciation.

• We all still have good and evil in us.

• We all still have our prejudices and blind spots.

• We are all still susceptible to being swayed by a clever sales pitch.

When I remember the old saying, make haste slowly, it reinforces something I’ve been thinking about lately.

Most of the offers you’ll get in your inbox will take you to a sales page that promises tremendous results for almost no work or effort.

These B.S. offers sell thousands of copies, and none of them work.

When you get a superb offer, they often sell less than a few hundred copies and do work.

That’s what I’ve been thinking about.

How to present something that I know works to people so that it gets snapped up as fast as the B.S. products.

Suppose I follow the same pattern as those crap products. 

In that case, I’d write a sales page that made outlandish promises, fake testimonials, and multiple upsells that have appeared on the front page as if they were included but are sold as if they are needed to make the front-end product work.

If I had no ethics or morals, I could do that.

That’s not me.

I couldn’t sleep at night.

There is no shortcut to an online income.

There is no fast track either.

You focus on one thing until it works.

You do whatever it takes for as long as it takes.

You do have to start with something with a reasonable chance of success, so no re-inventing the wheel.

You can only make haste by doing more of what’s needed, not by trying to find an easy way or a shortcut hack.

One of the things you’ll have to spend time doing, at least in the early stages of a campaign, is driving traffic.

Not driving traffic to your landing pages is one of the biggest mistakes would-be marketers make.

You can buy visitors. 

This is fraught with challenges.

• Who is a good vendor?

• Where do I find them?

• How much will it cost?

• Will I make a positive ROI from buying traffic?

Because of these challenges, many marketers decide they want free traffic and dive into the world of SEO.

After a while they discover that SEO is more challenging than they thought and that the competition is fierce.

Not only that, but it can change on the whim of Google or Bing.

There is an answer for the low-budget marketer.
