I love summer. I love the heat. My favourite days are those that reach the high 30s to the low 40s. That’s those temperatures around 100 degrees Fahrenheit in the old money. Here in Adelaide, the summer heat is dry. Very low humidity most days, with the occasional thunderstorm to spice things up. I can handle high humidity, but you never want to combine high heat with high humidity. That can get extremely uncomfortable. Yep, I know that most of you are heading into winter, so I’ll probably not be too mean and not talk about summer weather much. Just remember when you’re sitting down to Christmas lunch with all that snow around that we might be outside having a BBQ in 40-degree heat. All of that to point out that time zones and hemispherical locations are vastly different across your entire audience and email list. Some email gurus will tell you that there is a best day and time of day to send your emails. And there is, for their blinkered view. People join your lists at different times because that’s when they are active online. To the best of my knowledge, there isn’t an autoresponder that will send your broadcast emails at the same time of day that your subscriber joined. Getting your sequence emails going out at their joining time is possible, but not your broadcasts. So what do you do? My solution, perhaps not optimal, is to send the broadcasts at roughly the same time of day for everyone. Of course, that also varies by an hour as daylight saving starts or ends in different places on different days. What do you do? Reply to this email and tell me how you manage things. Regards, P.S. If you don’t have an email list yet, it’s about time you got started on that. There are two places where you can get started and build a substantial list for free. LeadsLeap has everything you need, including traffic. https://go.wm-tips.com/llauto. Systeme has everything you need except the traffic. https://go.wm-tips.com/systeme. I use both daily, and they are both robust tools. There is a small learning curve with any new tool, and these are no exception, but you can build amazing landing pages and manage your email lists just fine with either. Pick one and get started. |
