They are simply clickbait and have no relationship with what’s inside. Then there are those stupid faces images. The ones where the presenter has a look of surprise or horror. Mouth open, googly eyes, etc. I understand that the thumbnail has to stop the viewer scrolling. Then, the title of the video has to draw the click. Once you’ve done that, the video has to deliver, or you won’t catch that person again. Nor will they buy anything from you because they’ll feel scammed. But YouTube is a great source of free traffic if you can get those things to work together. That’s pretty much all you need to get working to get good traffic and sales. The description and tags are for the YouTube algorithm. Most of your views will come from the suggested videos YouTube shows with the video the viewer is watching and at the end. How long should the description be, and how many tags should you use? The description should be 200-300 words. Make sure you use the keywords in the first or second sentence. Don’t exceed ten tags, you’ll only confuse the algorithm. Pretty basic and simple to do. For those of you who actually read this far, I have a seven-second hack that can make any content go viral. Offer a bonus to anyone who shares your content on social media or via their email list. Do not add these people to your email list by making them subscribe for the bonus. Ask them to email you with a screenshot of their email or post. Set up a unique email address for this and have it respond with the out-of-office trigger but with the link to the bonus and an offer to join your email list. You can use Gmail for this because it works fine. Regards, P.S. What sort of bonus? How about a cheat sheet on the subject of the content? Make one quickly with this: https://go.wm-tips.com/sheets. |
