At least two new products are talking about PBNs, although they are not calling them that. I’ve been talking about them for the last 5 years at least, if not longer. The logic is irrefutable. Almost every website gets some traffic so every website you have with a link to your main site will get some traffic for you. However, when you have links on high-traffic sites and sites that Google likes, you’ll get traffic and ranking. So what are they and I talking about? Making content and putting it on big public sites such as Medium, Twitter, Facebook, Quora, Reddit, etc. For the social media sites you’ll need to link to a bridge page rather than a sales page, but that’s easy enough to do. So who’s been talking about this, other than me? Well, there’s been Ghost Pages by James Renouf and Traffic Catalyst by Trevor Emdon. Being totally transparent, I haven’t seen anyone else talking about this, but you might have. In 2020 I moved this https://getupnote.com/share/notes/Nfn4ZrxerSOt6nHjocGVteZvec12/f528622f-93b2-4fcd-841e-5ae99befd092 from Evernote which was transferred from something I wrote when I was still working for a boss. As you can see, when you read that that, I’m talking about the difference between a private blog network and a public blog network. It’s also what was talked about in the book “Nothing but Net” which was written in 1999. The old, and discredited private blog networks took this a bit far by building their own blog networks. Google can block these, but they can’t block a public blog network. Regards, P.S. Taking that information about how to build your traffic source makes this way of finding the sweet spot to profitability even more special. |
