I’m not saying that Opera is a bad web browser, it’s not at all. It’s just that I’ve got used to the spaces function in Arc and really like it. It keeps sections totally separate from each other, and Opera doen’t have that capability. Other Chromium-based web browsers do have similar functions, but not Opera. Thinking through the issue and exploring other extensions with little success made me realise that the one thing I wanted to use Opera for was the free VPN. That changes the search. I found a solution. A tool called WindScribe with a free level that includes USA based servers. The great thing about this tool is that there is a desktop tool for all your connections and a browser extension for just the web browser. They both work great. When I first turned the extension on it connected me to a Hong Kong server and my search results were from Hong Kong. Doh! I changed the connection to a USA based server and got USA-based results. WooHoo. Now I’m cooking with gas. I think I’ll be paying for this one as it’s extremely inexpensive compared to others. OK, everybody back on your heads, we’ve got work to do. Regards, |
