Yep, our house guests will be going home in 7 sleeps. TBH, it’ll be a relief. I’m a very quiet person, I like things to be ordered, in their place, tidy, and quiet. I don’t have the radio or TV going all day unless the cricket is on them I’ll park in my chair for the duration. When you have two kids under 4 charging around the noise volume is not something that can be controlled. The older one seems to have only two settings, loud and louder. The younger one is catching on. The parents are not tidy people. There are toys, glasses, mugs, bottles etc. scattered across the kitchen, dining room and lounge. They have the run of the downstairs family room and that looks like a war zone, but fortunately I don’t have to do anything there for the next 7 days. Am I complaining? Not really, I can cope for a week, but longer than that would really get to me. It’s probably worse because I’m still not well. It is nice to see them which does include the grandchildren, but you know what I mean about people stomping all over your territory. It’s no wonder that there are often police called to domestic disputes over the festive season. Yet we would be unhappy if we didn’t have family around during this time of year. So, suck it up Brent, this will probably be the last year they stay with us as they’re relocating to their Adelaide home at the end of 2025. I hope all your celebrations or relaxations are going well and you’ll be nicely refreshed to get motivated for the new year. Regards, |
