When a comedian stands before their audience with new material, they have no idea if they’ll get a good laugh, a snigger, or silence. Silence means they have to cut that joke. A snigger means they might be able to use that with changes. A laugh means that bit stays in the next show. Until they test the material in front of a live audience, they don’t know if it works or not. It’s exactly the same with marketing. You will never know if your landing page, sales page, or any other material you write works until you get feedback from your audience. If it doesn’t work, it’s not the audience’s fault. Some smart person said that any sales page is only 100 tweaks away from optimised. That is why you need to track every link to know which audience reacted best to your material. Then you keep working that audience and tweaking the material until you cannot get a better result. You’ll have a guaranteed money-making machine when you have the landing page optimised, the sales page, and the follow-up emails optimised. It starts with getting something online with a signup form, a sales page, a buy button, and link tracking. When you have that in place, drive traffic to the landing page and keep split-testing until you have something working. I have abandoned funnels like this before because I didn’t test and tweak enough. There is no need for you to be as stupid as I was. Regards, P.S. When you have a small funnel like this in place, and you need good tracking, there are many ways to get that done. I don’t use Google for my tracking because their data is delayed, which means you can’t make good decisions in a timely manner. You can use Pretty Links or one of the link shortening tools, but they give minimal data, and it’s insufficient to make good decisions fast. The best free tracking tool is ClickerVolt, https://link.wm-tips.com/clickervolt, and their pro version is impressive for a low-cost tool. The best click tracking is ClickMagick, https://link.wm-tips.com/click, but it is a paid tool. They have a 14-day free trial, which will allow you time to explore some of the features and training modules and even run a small campaign. I’ve been using it for years and testing other tools but have not found anything to beat it. |
