Thursday 8th May is International Make a Book Day. That doesn’t mean you have to write on. It does mean you should celebrate books and reading. The knowledge of the world is in books. Whatever you want to learn is in a book somewhere. With all our digital tools you don’t even need to lug around hefty tomes to read. My kindle has hundreds of books on it. When I finish one, I start another. My library has pared down a lot. It used to contain over 1,000 books and they had all been read. Now there are only a couple of hundred well read books on the shelves, the rest are inside my kindle. You don’t do that overnight. There have only been two books that I stopped reading before I got to the end. Both because they were far too boring to complete, and I have no regrets about my decision. All writers read, not all readers write. Tell me what you’re reading now via email. There’s no prize, but I might tell you which two books to not bother with. Regards, P.S. If you want to publish a book but don’t want to write all of it. Because it all seems too hard or time consuming, you might consider this. https://go.wm-tips.com/designrr. Turn any book or book idea into a well laid out book ready for publishing. |
