“I don’t want to go to school today.” “Why not?” “The teachers don’t like me, the kids don’t like me, I don’t want to be there.” “But dear, you have to go. You’re the Headmaster.” News Flash. Not everyone likes you. Not everyone likes what you write. Does that matter? Not in the least, you’re not writing and creating for them. You’re writing and creating for those who do like you. There are more of them than there are haters. If you let a few negative people stop you writing emails or blog posts, they drag you down to their level. You’re not doing all this work and clawing your way to a better life to let bottom dwellers hold you back. The best revenge is massive success, as my old sales trainer told me after a particularly bad day. The best revenge for a negative email is to unsubscribe them. That’s an easy thing to do because most of them reply to your email, leaving the entire thing included. Scroll down to the unsubscribe link and click. Bye Bye. Ahhhh… so satisfying. Regards, P.S. Dall.e created a lovely image for me for this email that I’m using on my Substack page. You can find that here , but I’m not sure that you can get access to Dall.e yet. It’s still in Beta, and the best you can do is go on the waiting list. I’m enjoying using it and use it every day. Join the waiting list here https://openai.com/dall-e-2/. |
