There are some really weird laws that still sit on the statute books and should be repealed. This one probably won’t be enforced unless Donald Trump breaks this law. Then the Democrats will be out for the maximum sentence. The law relates to the protection efforts for the Bald Eagle when it was endangered. If anyone who is not a member of a Federally Recognised Tribe is not permitted to possess a single feather from a Bald Eagle. The penalty is up to $100k fine, a year in prison, or both. That seems a little harsh considering that birds moult and you could have a feather that you found on the ground. The Bald Eagle is no longer on the threatened list so that law could and should be removed from the books. Hmmm… I wonder if there is an Indian headdress in the White House somewhere. Regards, P.S. You won’t have to pay a fine or spend a year in the clink for this though. Taking advantage of this platform can take you from where you are to where you want to be. https://go.wm-tips.com/llhome.
