Gurus will tell you that you need to get high-value targeted visitors to your pages to make money, and that’s true. The problem for most people trying to make a buck online is that getting low-value traffic is much easier than high-value traffic. Unless you play it smart. There are thousands of keywords and keyword phrases that get a ton of searches but are broadly targeted. Which reminds me of a story from my years as a computer tech. One customer complained to me about how filthy the Internet was. I asked them what happened. They said they wanted to get some information about the Titanic but weren’t sure how to spell it so they just typed in Tit… …with predictable results. Anyway, you shouldn’t laugh at people like that because they can’t help it. However, that is a highly searched term with low-value traffic. Not really where we were going so lets look at a simple 3 word search term. “Who owns Tesla” gets 60,500 searches a month, but that keyword is on the higher side of ranking difficulty. When you go through the data in any keyword tool you’ll quickly find that there are quite a few keywords that get a lot of searches and almost no competition. They’re the ones to target. It’s much easier to get 100 visitors a month from every one of 100 pages than to get 10,000 visitors a month from one page. On those ranked but low traffic web pages you place ads for high-value products and a link to a webpage that doesn’t rank for those high-value keywords. Google is desperate to show something for every search term because that’s the only reason they exist. Give them something of reasonable quality for those low-competition search terms and you’ll scoop up most of the traffic. All you have to do with that traffic is give them something to click on that pays you money. Even AI pages will rank for these searches. Regards, P.S. I’m in negotiations regarding that product I’ve been telling you about so I can’t share anything yet. I will let you know when I do have something to share. In the interim you should get some practice in with making pages in Systeme.io. Build a blog template for future use so all you have to do is add the content. |
