The interesting thing about getting paid a lump sum like that is the way the brain spends it at least 15 different ways before it’s even in the bank account.
Ohhh… the possibilities.
But it can only be spent once, or saved once.
It’s not like the Magic Pudding that never runs out.
Anyway, that’s all moot if you don’t make $1k in any week or month.
Here’s a 7 step system to set you up for those $1k months, then $1k weeks when you keep doing the simple steps.
The lesson here though is that as writers we need to use the language that our audience uses.
I don’t do that in these emails because I use Australian English and spelling even though most of you are from the USA.
No doubt some of you will have picked that up.
I suspect, without clear proof, that Google ranks pages with USA English above pages with English as spoken and written in other English speaking counties even when they might otherwise rank better.
It’s all to do with what they see as ‘proper’ grammar and spelling.
Can anyone provide proof or disprove my thoughts on this?
When I want to write for the USA audience I use Grammarly to change my perfectly good English to a different version of perfectly good English.
Windsurf, https://codeium.com/windsurf, wrote the content which I edited slightly then asked ChatGPT to convert it from markdown to something I could post on a WordPress blog.
I took one image from wikipedia and one is the whistle i have now, the video came from youtube.com.
All up it took about an hour to put the whole lot together.
Not hard to do, contains all factual information based on my research, and the images are all either owned by me or copyright free.
I’ll have to repeat the exercise with other things that might be useful information for writers.
Because today I was given one, and I like to find out as much as I can about interesting artefacts.
It came in a wooden box, appears to have been made of brass, and it came with instructions on how to use it.
So, I’ll learn how to use it and some of the calls, then it’ll go on the shelf as a curio.
Probably alongside the 18th century opera glasses.
I’m not going to attempt some cheesy reference to marketing now, it just wouldn’t fit well.
Regards, Brent.
P.S. I might, however, write a blog post on the subject for one of my websites as a reference for writers, or I could use this free tool to do it for me. https://codeium.com/windsurf.
I know it builds great pages with very little input, in fact I think I’ll set it going now.
I was asked to help automate a process for a fellow marketer.
Essentially this involves getting data from a spreadsheet and pasting it into a form which is then submitted.
In terms of programming this is a fairly simple process, except in this case.
The process involves logging into a website first, navigating to the form which happens to be dynamic.
What that means is that as data is pasted the form changes.
Some things need to be pasted in in a particular order or it doesn’t work.
There is an excellent tool built into every Mac which very few people use that is designed to automate things.
I haven’t used it before so I decided to use ChatGPT to help speed up my learning curve.
Wow, did it ever speed things up.
In a matter of days I had a working automation from scratch.
The code ChatGPT created was a little clumsy, but it did work.
I had to guide it a bit as I discovered more about what was required, but I think that someone with no previous coding knowledge could have done the same.
Maybe not as fast, but by reporting errors and asking for instructions on how to use the code they would have got there.
I can’t tell you the person’s name or the website I was doing the work on, but I can tell you that I’m guessing that he’s making between $15k – $30k per month for doing about two hours ‘work’.
My automation will reduce that to about 1/2 hour.
What he has done is brilliant, under-the-radar, and highly profitable.
It’s simple, requires no technical knowledge, and is essentially a copy paste task.
All this to prove to you that making money online does not have to be hard or complicated.
All you need to do is find a problem people have and solve it for them.
When you do that well they will pay you for it.
Using the keyword “How to” in this tool, https://go.wm-tips.com/insight, will show you all the things people want to know how to do.
Find one that has very little competition and that could be your $30k per month gold mine.
The page you see above has a dynamic graph and the form works to calculate how much your Bitcoin would be worth today if you invested in any year back to 2019.
Now I’m not a fan of Bitcoin, but there are millions of people who are and they want to know that investing in this cryptocurrency might give them a decent return.
Because of the rather complex coding and the need to access historical data this took a bit of back and forth with the tool.
Then I asked it to convert the web page it did build to a WordPress page.
Overall it probably took several hours, but I don’t think I could have done that in a single day let alone a part day.
The tool is called Windsurf and you’ll find it here.
