Movies are not real life, mostly not even close even when based on a true story. I love movies. Of course, if you happen to be an actor, a writer, or a director those things would be of interest to you. Anyway, back to the theme of this email. It doesn’t matter how well you build it they will not come unless you do a good job telling the story of it. That’s true in history. It’s true in business. And it’s true equally in your own personal career. It’s not how brilliant what you built is, no one will be inspired to buy it unless they know exactly how and why it was built, and what it will do for them. It’s the old WIIFM acronym at work. Your customers don’t care about you or your product if they cannot see a use case for them. That use case has to be at least one of:
In general being cheaper isn’t always a selling point unless it’s also better or just as good. However, I have always believed that you can always make something cheaper, but you cannot always retain the quality. The bottom line is that you have to tell the creator story in a believable way and in a way that your reader can relate to for themselves. You’ll see that in action in the VSLs for many products on Clickbank. Frankly, I think they’re too long, but they do seem to make a lot of sales with them, so what do I know? I like to credit my subscribers (that’s you) with intelligence and the ability to see through blatant puffery. That’s why you won’t see it here and I don’t write to a 5th-grade level as some people think I should. I also write in Australian English, so some of you probably think my grammar and spelling is funny. But what you get is me, not a fake persona. Regards, P.S. Most of the products I promote are ones I have created. Rarely will you see an affiliate promotion because most of what I see is thinly disguised rubbish. This is a tool I created for my own use that made a huge difference to my delivery rates for my emails. Yes, AI did help me create it because I had no idea how to build it myself, but it works extremely well. Try it, you might find it helps you too. |
