Not making a decision or deferring making a decision is also a decision. One of my nieces is in the process of a marriage breakup. They have 4 children and rent a house to live in. They did own a home until recently, which they were renting out while they went house hunting. The original house was too small for a family of 6, but they could have sorted that out. The delay in choosing another home, over ten years, was caused by the husband not making a decision. He had delusions of grandeur, he wanted to live in an up-market suburb without the income to pay for it. During those years the housing prices have leapt up which has priced them out of the market. Now they’ve separated their financial situation will worsen. The consequences of not making a decision in a timely manner have compounded into the worst possible situation for everyone. The consequences of your decisions are usually not immediately obvious, but they are inevitable. The decision not to buy a product that can make you more financially comfortable means that you have missed out on the discount. Fortunately, for you, the product is still available and still a bargain, just not such a good bargain as it was. This would still be a good decision. Regards, |
