Like most zoos, there were good bits and poor bits. It must be difficult to keep these enclosures in good condition. I’m sure the animals are less excited to see the people than the people are to see the animals. It definitely looks like it. Most of the animals were as far away from any fences as they could get. Not that they looked stressed, just bored. We did see something that I never expected. A baby white rhino feeding. To do this the mother stood and the baby lay down to reach. I suspect that the baby drank a lot of milk. Other than that, nothing to report. The Meerkats did what Meerkats do. So did the Otters. The rest chilled in the patchy sunshine. We’re not into the warm weather yet. Enough of that. I was working on a book in Designrr this afternoon and it spat the dummy on me. I lost about 4 hours of work. Grrrr. I have no idea how that happened, but it’s something that software can do to you. To be totally honest, what I have now is better than what I lost. And I learnt a new trick. Some of this book was written with the aid of ChatGPT. I asked Chatty to export what I wrote as a PDF, it couldn’t for some arcane reason. So I used the copy button under the text and discovered that it was in markdown. Then I found a great free website that will convert markdown to HTML, stylised HTML, PDF, or markdown. It’s this one - . I’ve bookmarked it. Regards, |
