I’m not talking about the 9- 5, well, a little bit.

Until you have the income you want from your ‘not really working’ online business, your kids still need to eat, and your partner still wants some dry, warm place to sleep.

But I am talking about your online activities.

Some misguided gurus tell you that you have to grind all your spare hours to ‘make it’.

I say B.S.

When I’m riding my bicycle up a hill, I can try to ride up in a high gear, which means I have to put a lot of effort into the crank and grind up the hill, or I can select a lower gear and pedal faster, with less effort to climb.

I’ve noticed that often I go faster in the lower gear than I do when grinding.

Lance Armstrong also said you have to ‘spin it to win it‘.

All of which points to not working as hard to get the same or a better result.

Revising the subject line a little, I’ll say that working hard is for suckers.

You know that I prefer to say that you need to be persistent and consistent.

That’s what makes the difference.
