I have always been fascinated by the biographies of famous people. There are some common traits that they share. Persistence is high on the list, as is consistency. You know that persistence is the art of not giving up. Consistency is the art of turning up every day and taking action. There is always an element of luck, it’s not always present, but it does show up as being in the right place at the right time. Some of that can be attributed to consistency. Always be doing something. There is one other that comes along after the first two. The creativity. The sometimes genius idea that appears in their work. Not all creative people like everything they produce, but they love it when the muse strikes and genius happens. But, if you wait, it never happens. If you work, it sometimes happens. And it will happen more often the more that you work. Imagine a simple six-sided die as you’ve rolled in a million games. What will make you roll a six faster: planning how to throw a six or just starting to roll it again and again? Are you waiting for a good idea? Why wait? Regards, P.S.
