Why is it that the people who have problems rarely find the time to do something about them but always seem to have the time to complain about them? You know what I mean. Every day, the grumbling around the water cooler or coffee machine about the economy, inflation, wages not high enough, etc. One of my work colleagues once said, “They pretend to pay us, so we pretend to work.” That particular company paid extremely well and didn’t expect a lot in return. While I worked there, some employees left for jobs in other companies but often returned because they found that the others expected them to work. They were happy to return to an easy, well-paid life. If any of those people had put as much effort into working as they did into complaining, the company would have been much more productive. If they found the conditions so demanding, they could have put their energies into building a business for themselves. While I was there, I built five websites, wrote seven programs and three books during my lunch breaks. None of those things were for the company. They were for me. Can you use your time more productively? Regards, P.S. My day was screwed up today because I got a flat tyre riding my bike in the morning. That meant I had to wait for a pick-up, which set my time-frames back by several hours. No matter, I have the sales funnel nearly done. You should see the link in the following email. |
