An email from Grammarly has just congratulated me for using it for 7 years. I’m surprised to be honest, if anyone had asked I might have decided 5 years at a stretch. Something I should also point out is that I use this tool every day. I should also point out that I haven’t been a paid member that long. I just checked, almost that long. I was a free user for two years before I decided it was worth paying for. My last report from Grammarly contained this little gem. 6,068,342 total words analyzed by Grammarly Sheesh, that’s about 60 novels worth. I know that I’m not the most prolific writer online, or offline for that matter, but that is still a lot more writing than I thought. I don’t know of any author who has written 60 novels in the last 7 years, do you? What it does show me is that anyone who want’s to write anything for any reason is capable of writing a lot more than they might think. People over estimate what they can get done in a day, and massively underestimate what they can do in a year. Think about that for a moment. The difference between those two positions is fascinating. If you can manage to write 300 words a day you’ll have a novel done in a year, if you stick with it. Looking at that massive number above shows that I’m averaging over 2,000 words a day, and I don’t spend all day writing. I think you can manage 300 without too much strain on your time or other activities. Use this to keep your writing tidy:- https://go.wm-tips.com/grammarly. It’s pretty easy to use and helps you edit your work fast. Regards, |
