That’s an odd way to start a post about email, but it’s relevant as you’ll soon see. There are two main reasons people don’t start am email list even though they want to make money online and they know that “the money is in the list”. Actually, it’s not in the list as such. It was once, about 20 years ago, but not now. Now the money in in the engagement you have with your list. And that brings us to the title of this post because that’s the key to getting your new subscribers engaged with you. What do you say after they say “Hello”? So, you’ve had someone subscribe to your list to get your freebie or perhaps a $1 trial for 14 days or something. The first thing they should get is a welcome email that gives them what they’ve signed up for. It should also introduce you to them, a bit. Most people know that much, and stumble over what comes next. What comes next should be a 6 or more email sequence that gives them a bit more about you and offers something relevant to the freebie. This could be tips on how to best use it, different case studies, something else to help, but nothing for sale before email 3, and even then it’s not a hard sell. It’s more of a “some people have found that this helps <link>”. The link here is a PDF that goes through everything you need to know to write your first welcome email sequence. You’ll discover how easy it can be when you use AI to help and how to get AI to write something more like a human would. By the way, the PDF is free to download. Now I suggest you don’t use these emails as a copy paste exercise. You’ll get a better result when you go through them and tidy them up. I’d even put them through Grammarly to correct grammatical and spelling mistakes, yes AI does make those mistakes. I’d also use Grammarly to do a plagiarism check and make any corrections to bring the percentage down to below 3%. You’re currently a free subscriber to Brent’s Newsletter. How to go viral on TikTok.
There is one feature of TikTok that I find unbelievable. You can take an existing viral video, post it to your account, and it’s likely to go viral there as well. How they allow this beggars belief, but apparently it’s true. This is how people kickstart their new TikTok accounts. You could take a collection of existing viral videos and post them so you get heaps of traffic. That smacks of blatant plagiarism and cheating, but the reports I’ve been seeing all indicate that TikTok is OK with that. I suspect that this loophole will be closed at some stage, but while it’s still dragging in eyeballs and keeping people glued to their screens it may persist. I’m not advocating you do this, but I thought you should know about it. You would be far better off working on getting better rankings in YouTube. YT has no issue with remixing video, but they do draw the line at outright plagiarism of someone else’s video. This means that you might need to do a little more research on the videos that are getting the traffic, which can take quite a bit of time. Fortunately, there is a tool that will assist you and speed up the research process. You’ll find more info here: https://go.wm-tips.com/tbuddy. Go take over your niche in YT.
