P.S. It seems that I’m unable to use the output from this tool on most of the autoresponders I use, so this email is not in the MJML format.
I’m not a fan of writing an email in a coding environment and then converting it to HTML (actually XML Modified) to satisfy some lazy programmer in a company with thousands of programmers.
I won’t be using this format.
That shouldn’t stop you from building your email list though.
Start with a proper funnel, send visitors and grow from there.
We had to attend a funeral today for one of my wife’s cousins.
We had caught up with him in two places on our last caravan holiday, and he passed only a few weeks after we got back.
Fortunately for him, it was very quick.
I struggle with funerals even when they’re on T.V. or in a movie.
Yes, I get a bit emotional, and I find that challenging.
Anyway, I’m not going to mine.
I have told my family that I want to go to the body farm.
If you are unaware of these places, they are essential for the studies of forensic pathologists.
What happens is that they place bodies in various situations, such as in a swamp or under seawater, in a dense forest or any other place where they might find a body.
The purpose is to track the gradual deterioration of the human body under differing conditions so they can identify the age of any cadavers they might come across.
It’s essential work, and I would like to feel that I can be useful for another 30 – 50 or more years.
Some people find that idea disturbing, but I find it fascinating.
I may never know if my family complies with my wishes, but I hope they do.
P.S. No matter where they finally lay me down, I want to ensure that my family’s finances are secured.
Leaving a legacy for your family’s future or your favourite charity is something that most people would like to do, but many people don’t see how they can do that.
The best way is to set up a fund that generates returns without additional input.
True passive income is the goal.
Some build large property portfolios.
Some build self-managing businesses.
Some invest in multiple businesses and business types.
This is great for those people, but they all require large sums and time to accumulate.
To short-cut that process you need to take a different tack.
The internet can supply all that, but you must prove it to yourself first and then leverage what you learn.
Last week, PayPal tried to sneak a new clause into its terms and conditions.
It would allow them to confiscate US$2,500 from a user for the act of spreading ‘misinformation’.
No due process. Just at their discretion.
Unfortunately for PayPal, this massive overreach was spotted, and the Twitterverse erupted with people closing their accounts.
PayPal swiftly backtracked and said it was a ‘mistake’, but the damage was done and the intent clear.
They recently partnered with a liberal group to identify and deplatform anyone they deemed ‘extremists’.
This is a dangerous route for society to go down.
Who decides what is free speech and what is prohibited speech?
Remember that an early WikiLeaks was banned in 2011 by Mastercard and Visa for the crime of printing the truth.
Gmail is helping you decide who to vote for in the coming mid-term elections.
They are filtering emails from Republicans into the junk folder while allowing Democrat emails to stay in the inbox.
Facebook routinely filters Republican posts out of your feed while promoting Democrat posts.
I don’t understand why they would be doing this, but the evidence is clear.
No doubt they are manipulating public opinion on a whole range of other issues which is wrong.
You should be allowed to see and hear all sides of an argument and make up your mind based on your beliefs.
These companies are not permitting you to see all arguments, so you cannot make a fully informed decision.
Those decisions affect your life and the whole economy.
I’ve always believed that you have the right to make all the mistakes you choose.
I know I’ve made plenty of mistakes, but I have also made plenty of excellent decisions.
You only have to get 51% correct to have a great time.
But you do have to make decisions often with limited information.
Those big companies have no right to limit your access to information that may help you make better decisions.
Regards, Brent.
P.S. You’ve heard about how a butterfly flapping its wings causes a hurricane across the world?
It’s not true, of course, but the idea is that a small change here can have huge impacts elsewhere.
You keep getting bombarded with “Make your first $1k” or “The fast way to six figures”.
Marketers love to use those ideas, and it seems that many people are attracted to the idea as well.
I’m offering you a way to make your first $1 in a simple way.
When you make your first $1 or first $100, it cements in your mind that you can make this work and that your dream of the Internet lifestyle could be a reality.
While 2 Factor Authorisation seems to be the answer to hackers, it’s not always as secure as it should be.
Don’t get me wrong here.
It’s a great idea to have a secondary source of truth that you are the person who is logging in.
The problem is that over 50% of the sites I use that have 2FA set up do it badly.
That includes some big private and Government sites that claim to know what they are doing and should know but clearly haven’t thought things through.
Next time you use a site that sends you an SMS to give you a code to authenticate your right to log in, check to see if you can use the code without logging into your phone.
If you can, then that’s not secure.
I’m not going to name names because that’s not secure either, but you need to check for yourself.
Regarding security, do you use a digital wallet app or carry your credit cards in your phone case?
Many people do, but what happens if your phone is lost or stolen?
I don’t know if they exist or not, but it would not surprise me to find out that there is a backdoor into your phone.
I know they used to exist because I worked on selling, installing and reprogramming phones before they got smarter.
If there is one, you can bet everything in your bank account that the bad guys know what it is.
Regards, Brent.
P.S. Now that I’ve scared you spitless and you’re about to remove the wallet apps, relocate your cards to a separate card holder with RFID protection you might like to check out something much safer.
This little funnel is the simplest and fastest way to get an email list growing and money coming in.
P.S. The other thing that shouldn’t take a considerable amount of pondering over is the 4-in-1 funnel Neill has put together for all beginners or anyone who isn’t generating a regular income yet.
It’s a complete package that includes a personalised lead magnet, the sales page, the delivery system and the first seven emails for your autoresponder.
It’ll take you about an hour to have it built and ready to take visitors.
No doubt you are also being swamped by emails and ads telling you that the sky is falling and you have to start making money online right now.
It’s true.
The sky is falling, or about to at any rate.
It’s also true that you must begin to shore up your finances, but I’ve been telling you that for over a year now.
So why the rush of Johnny-come-latelies spouting the same warning?
It seems that one of the influencer gurus has decided that the economy is the new target for their marketing, and all the copycats have jumped on the bandwagon.
It’s pathetic how little thinking goes on in the minds of so many marketers.
I thought the signs were evident in 2019 – 2021 that the global economy was in bad shape and unlikely to improve.
So much so that all my retirement funds were out of the share market before the big dip when Covid hit.
While there was a big rally during 2020 – 2021, I was not convinced that the fundamentals had changed enough to dive back in.
I suspect that many of those who think they have conquered the share market will be burned badly unless they get out and stay out until the fire has burned itself out.
My job here is not to give you trading advice.
I leave that to people with far more experience.
My job is to help you generate additional income that is scaleable and can stabilise your finances in the coming turbulence.
If you’re still on the sidelines and want to get a toe-hold in the online market, there is a new product from a friend that will help you out.
It’s everything you need to set up a funnel and begin making money.
It certainly has destroyed some forms of comedy because of the risk that someone will be offended on behalf of somebody else.
That’s the thing I don’t understand.
How can you be offended on behalf of somebody else?
Do you know what they think?
Can you read their mind?
What if they weren’t even there?
I worked with a delightful gentleman from Kenya.
He had a wicked sense of humour and regularly bagged me for being racist because I insisted on black coffee.
We were pretty good friends during our work life together.
We worked on multiple jobs, me as the draftsman and he as the project manager.
One day he came to me with one of my drawings and said, “I don’t like that colour.”
I replied, “You can’t say that.”
He responded with, “Why not?”
I said, ” That’s racist.”
Everybody in the office sucked in a big breath, but he laughed and agreed.
He still insisted on changing the colour.
The boss hauled me into the office several times because other people complained about how I spoke to him.
No one ever complained about the way he spoke to me.
He never complained.
It was always a third party who was offended on his behalf.
The funny thing is that I carried on the same type of banter with everyone else in the office, but I only ever got complaints about how I spoke with my Kenyan friend.
It seems that there is always someone who thinks they know better than you about how you should behave.
I came across this in a recent email and found it entertaining enough to share.
One of my favourite classified ads of all time. It had a cute picture of a beagle on it and went like this:
Headline: Free To Any Willing Home
My girlfriend does not like my beagle, Molly. So I have to rehome her. She is purebred from a wealthy family, and I have had her for four years. She likes to play games. Not totally trained. She has long hair, so she’s a little high maintenance, especially the nails, but she loves having them done. She stays up all night yapping but sleeps while I work. Only eats the best, most expensive food. Will NEVER greet you at the door after a long day or give you unconditional love when you’re down. She does not bite, but she can be mean as hell!
So… anyone interested in my 30-year-old, selfish, wicked, gold-digging girlfriend? Come and get her! Me and my dog want her rehomed ASAP!
Not at all, like most comedy, there may be an element of truth in it, but most jokes are exaggerations of life.
And that’s OK because we expect that in a joke or comedic routine.
Some exaggeration is also acceptable in a sales letter, but when the embellishment stretches the truth and facts so far that they are in danger of breaking, it’s no longer OK.
Those sales letters are prime targets to bolster your income.
You know the ones I mean, those on Warrior Plus and JV Zoo that promise anyone can make serious bank without doing any work.
Here is where you discover exactly how you can make bank on their B.S. without it costing you a brass razoo.
I know that’s what Google tells you, and so do all the Alphabet sycophants, but it’s a steaming pile of B.S.
I have proved this to my satisfaction, and you can do the same quickly and easily.
Here are the steps:-
Create a new subdomain on your web host.
Install WordPress.
Delete all the ping URLs in the Writing section of settings.
Don’t add any plugins.
Write a post with a made-up keyword and a longish explanation of that keyword. This could be entirely gibberish, it doesn’t matter.
Let the website soak for a month or so.
Do not add any links to that page from anywhere.
After a few months, search on Google for that keyword.
Since there are no links to that page, Google will have no idea about it, and even though no one else will have used that keyword, there will be nothing in the SERPs about it.
