If a journey of 1,000 miles begins with a single step it might be super important to make sure that first step is the right one.
Otherwise you could end up 2,000 miles from where you intended to be.
Each subsequent step builds on the last so each step is important.
None of them are pointless, unless you’ve drifted off the path.
To illustrate how each step builds on the last consider the studies of dominos.
Each time a domino falls it generates enough energy to topple a domino 50% bigger.
That means that if you could build them and set them up you could knock over the tallest building in the world starting with a standard wooden domino, and it would only take 11 dominos.
Everybody has heard about the Pareto Principal, but almost nobody uses it correctly.
80% of your results, in any endeavour, are produced by just 20% of your efforts.
Seems pretty clear doesn’t it?
But here’s the thing.
Drill down.
64% of your results come from 4% of your effort.
50% of your results come from 1% of your effort.
So, if you have a list of 20 things you think you need to do to make your online efforts successful. and you reduce that to just one thing, you’ll still get 50% of the results you are looking for.
Just make sure that is the most useful thing to be doing.
When it comes to growing an online business, the hardest part isn’t execution, it’s the ideas.
What product should I launch next? How do I promote it? What’s the fastest way to get subscribers or sales?
That’s exactly why I created Idea Generation Pro GPT.
This GPT is built to take vague goals and turn them into concrete strategies.
In fact, the entire promotion plan I’m running right now, to get 100 new subscribers in 30 days, came directly from Idea Generation Pro.
Inside, it doesn’t just spit out random tips.
It guides you through proven frameworks:
Brainstorming systems
Mind mapping
Reverse-engineering plans
Action steps with clear timelines
And here’s the best part: Idea Generation Pro is just one of several GPTs in my Substack members area.
You’ll also get access to:
Clickless Funnel Coach → build sales funnels and email sequences in minutes
Rapid PLR Profit Pro → transform generic PLR into polished, money-ready products
Plus new GPTs as I release them
Most AI tools cost $20–$200 per month for a single feature. This is $7 per month for a growing AI toolkit built for solopreneurs.
Join today and secure your spot as one of the Founding members. Membership, currently, is $7/month, but once this promotion is done this level is gone.
But when this level is gone you’ll be grandfathered (or grandmothered) in.
This is OK if they’re getting reasonable conversions, but what about when they don’t?
Most marketers then abandon that market and try something else.
This is especially prevalent with newbies and those who are struggling to make a buck.
Abandoning products and markets that often are doing really well for some instead of testing is rife.
That will keep those who don’t test fluffing around the edges of marketing without making any decent income for years.
They end up with a hard drive full of PLR, products they’ve made, websites all over the place, a trickle of income, and a constant need to buy anything that looks like it might be the answer.
When your income is $100k per year and you want to earn $1m per year, that $900k difference is the ignorance debt.
We rely on money for our entire lives and we’re never taught how to manage it, how to get more of it, how best to use it because most of the people around you don’t know either.
Like so many things online, there is a wealth of great information and a great cesspool of rubbish.
I was working on a photocopier in a primary school when one of the teachers came in to chat with the aids.
He was asked if he had retirement plans.
At 65 his answer was “Not for at least another 5 years, we have to clear our credit cards first.”
$65,000 in credit card debt, no savings, and still renting.
I was horrified.
He and his wife were in serious financial difficulty, declaring bankruptcy wasn’t going to help them because they effectively had nothing to show for 40 years of working.
When you quit paid employment you must be debt free, own your castle, and have at least some form of finances backing you up, or a much larger income than your job pays.
If you don’t have that you will need to figure out how to bring in some money to cover everything.
Your costs will be going up, your income has to rise to match or exceed it.
To increase your income you will have to do something.
For those who have better prompts and learn how to ask better questions the output can be excellent.
It’s not hard to get better results either.
All you need to do is ask the AI tools to help you.
Try this:- “You are an expert prompt engineer and can turn simple prompts into excellent ones. If you don’t understand something you ask relevant questions until you understand the requirements. Once you have the answers you need you write the prompt and immediately execute it. Work your magic on this prompt please.” Let me know how you got on with that.
