Everyone knows that success is defined by you , not anyone else.
Everyone also knows that success is usually defined by achievement, reaching some self-defined goal.
But here’s a trick.
You have to start something to become a success, that’s true, and we all know that.
What far fewer people fully grasp is that to be successful, you have to finish what you start .
Ahh, shoot.
So all those blogs I’ve started don’t count?
None of the books I have half-written, or have written but not uploaded yet, count?
And those videos, which haven’t been uploaded yet, aren’t going to get me any views or subscribers?
So that’s why you haven’t sent me an email asking for a payment link so you can buy what’s on my hard drive, unfinished.
Right then, so my results are my responsibility .
I guess it’s good that coffee is proof that God loves me and wants me to be happy because the sales from my unfinished work aren’t going to do it.
I might have to re-read this then

The problem most wanna be marketers have is that they don’t put enough effort.

The problem most wanna be marketers have is that they don’t put enough effort .
I confess that I’ve been guilty of this as well; you’re not alone.
90% of wanna be marketers either have done or continue to do this.
Instead of doing what they know they should be doing, they put in a half-assed effort .
You all know that you should set up a bridge page, collecting the email addresses of everyone who lands on the page before sending them to the sales page.
But you don’t.
What you do instead is send them directly to the sales page “to test if it sells” before you put any effort in.
Guess what?
You’ll get zero sales , claim the sales page doesn’t convert, and half-ass another offer with the same result.
This means you don’t build your email list, you don’t make sales, and you quit, going back to flipping burgers or the equivalent.
Perhaps you won’t get sales from having a bridge page and an email list, but you will be growing your email list.
This will give you an ongoing opportunity to make sales in the future as you continue to market to your list.
Now you might make sales via your list without a bridge page as your subscribers gain more trust in you, but without a list, no one knows you .
Unless you want to pump out 30 – 50 pieces of content every day for years like Garry V or Mr Beast, no one will ever know you .
As you grow your list, you’ll have tens, then hundreds, then thousands, who do know you.
This is how you grow your income.
This is how the people you buy from grew and continue to grow their incomes.
If this resonates with you, then this book, written by a person who walks the walk, will set your feet on the path to marketing success.

Most of the tools produce good-to-great videos, but only for 5 seconds.
It takes a lot of those to make an hour-long video.
In the end, I surrendered to the reality that even the best are limited to 30 minutes.
With those, you get to make two videos a month.
Well, you could pay them a bucket load of cash to make twice as many, so no.
The other issue is to make a reasonably good voice-over using a text-to- speech tool.
Very few do Australian accents well, some don’t even offer it as an option, and others have very limited voice choices.
There is a very useful tool available on Amazon called Polly.
I have an app called Pollyzon, which makes it easier to modify the script, using SSML, without having to know all the code to make it work. I can pick any of the voices and make them Australian, so there are plenty to choose from.
I’ve just completed a 54-minute dialogue with seven people.
It’s not perfect, but it is pretty good , and I can tweak it a bit more.
For the video, I’ll create it using Camtasia or CapCut and upload it tomorrow.
Once I have this all sorted out, the workflow for a 60-minute video should only take me about two hours, which is remarkably fast, considering it goes from idea to posted.
I know people who spend longer than that on an email or blog post.
What do you use for video creation?
Regards, Brent.
P.S. Nearly forgot.
I discovered today that ChatGPT has a really good text-to-voice feature built in.
In the small menu at the end of the response to your prompt, there is a speaker symbol.
Click that and it will read what it wrote .
Any tool that can record your screen can do so and save the recording as an audio file.
The only downside is that you’re limited in which voices you can use.

This is suitable for 5 of you; the rest may need to find an alternative solution.
Notice that this is still relatively new, but it’s fascinating .
All your Chrome extensions work because it’s Chromium-based.
What makes Dia very different is that it has an AI tool built in that can read multiple tabs and then discuss those with you.
For a quick overview of an earlier version, you can watch this 3-minute video
.
The current version offers even more features for your use.
I haven’t completely switched to Dia yet, but it may happen, as it seems to work well for my use of AI and a web browser.

This weekend, I completed repairing the side fence.
Since I’ve never built a fence either alone or with help, this was a new experience .
It has taken several weeks to get done because we had to remove all the plants that were pushing it over first.
The next step was to get all the posts back close to vertical.
Then, we replaced the rotting support beams and rebuilt the structure.
All the new timber was cut to size, drilled for bolts, and painted with 4 coats to waterproof the wood.
I’m happy with the result. I made some mistakes, but I was able to correct them as we went along.
The process is essentially the same as building a funnel, blog, or app.
You know what the result should be.
You might have to remove some things that are in the way.
You’ll make some adjustments first and possibly as you go along.
There will be some prep you’ll need to do, and the result might not look as pristine as your imagination, but it will do the job .
Even if you’ve never done this before, you know you can do it.
Once you’ve done one, you can do as many as you like, and each time you’ll get better and faster.

Whenever we start a new project, it’s exciting .
We’re all gung-ho and enthusiastic .
We’ll work flat out for hours and are motivated to the max, but when the expected results don’t show up, we cut back or stop.
It’s like the old-style water pump with the handle.
The water is down in the water table below your feet.
Pumping the handle creates a suction that draws the water up to the spout.
But it takes time, and a lot of pumping before you get any flow.
Once it starts flowing, it usually only delivers a dribble of water.
As long as you don’t stop pumping , the volume of water will increase until you have a gusher.
At that stage, it only takes a steady pumping action to keep the flow going, but if you stop, all the water in the pipe falls back to the bottom.
You’ll have to go through that process all over again to get that gusher.
That’s what most of us do when we’re starting a new venture.
We pump like crazy until the venture works, and then stop when just a little effort could keep it going.
This is rinse and repeat at its finest.
That’s what most launches look like.
Push hard, get results, stop working.
Repeat.
Most people stop when they get a trickle of success instead of continuing to push and promote to get to the gusher.
That only makes you frustrated.
You’ll find out how to avoid this pattern in this book,
“The Compound Effect” by Darren Hardy.

It’s called “The Compound Effect” by Darren Hardy.
https://www.amazon.com/Compound-Effect-Jumpstart-Income-Success/dp/0306924633?crid=3OSVTQBF1IFDZ&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.x9Ndr3OY9fTEDHYM9f5SgsGOvvl0hJt_ZBiQFdgm4KhN1IIPAfpMU7FvJH1Nv7dlNTvL2zC4l0DOGhaQoPoDA_lTHsHvVY2rKr6_cYNGAecvc_H2lqKiSQf2xnFUkzHT_kOXOtHDZpy6V7V49cA7nfDIK8IB6HlSdTYNLGRpvdGLS5opdT-HVOO73PRzjv21JKMr_vwvr6emS097Lqd8EMMCoI59lmRbMrxlo967E2Q.vMfwydKrq4Mvx-2F3q-9RpooClk4MM_zyy2XBndy2vQ&dib_tag=se&&&sprefix=the+compound+efect,aps,427&sr=8-1&&&&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl .
It starts like this:-
It’s time someone told it to you straight. You’ve been bamboozled for too long. There is no magic bullet, secret formula, or quick fix. You don’t make $200,000 a year spending two hours a day on the Internet, lose 30 pounds in a week, rub 20 years off your face with a cream, fix your love life with a pill, or find lasting success with any other scheme that is too good to be true. It would be great if you could buy your success, fame, self-esteem, good relationships, and health and well-being in a nicely clam-shelled package at the local Walmart. But, that’s not how it works.
We are constantly bombarded with increasingly sensational claims to get rich, get fit, get younger, get sexier… all overnight with little effort for only three easy payments of $39.95. These repetitive marketing messages have distorted our sense of what it really takes to succeed. We’ve lost sight of the simple but profound fundamentals of what it takes to be successful.
The message is mostly true.
You can earn $ 200,000 annually by spending 2 hours a day online, but you would have spent a lot more time than that to reach that stage.
Some people spend years getting to that stage.
Almost no one gets there in less than 6 months , but it can be done if you’re lucky, pick the right niche to start, and have a great mentor.
What the book is really about is that what we have done regularly compounds over time to get us to where we are today.
Changing those little habits to point in the direction we actually want to go will get us there because they also compound.
It really comes down to choices .
Do you want to go for a walk or stay home and drink that coke?
Will you send that email or watch Netflix?
All those simple little choices make all the difference.
Read the book, or listen to it as you go on your next walk.
Regards, Brent.
You know the one.
͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏
You know the one.
That idea for a product, or and email, or a blog post, or something that’ll make you rich .
Spoiler Alert: You’ve already had hundreds.
You either rejected them or forgot about them.
Everyone has hundreds if not thousands of ideas almost every day, but they never act on them or record them, so they drift back to the Universal Mind and are handed to someone else.
Eventually, someone acts on the idea that you’ve forgotten you had, and makes a living from it.
Of course you don’t have the time or energy to act on every idea you’ve had, but you do have the time to record them so you don’t neglect them.
Your phone has a voice record function and a notes function.
Get in the habit of recording your ideas as you go.
Make sure you give enough detail to prompt you later.
If you don’t want to use your phone for this, carry a note pad and writing tool.
When you’re going through your list for inspiration later the trick is to think, how can I make this work , not that won’t work.
Run a little brainstorming session for each idea, if nothing leaps up it hasn’t marinated long enough.
Move on to the next one.
That’s where this one came from.

Or who you are if it comes to that.
Online, people only know what you tell them , and most of what they tell you is lies.
I’ll get back to that, but for now, here’s proof that they don’t know where you are.
Logging into an old FB account today, I was met with “Incorrect password. Your password was changed 3 months ago.”
Not by me, it wasn’t, so I went down the “Change Your Password” route.
In my inbox, I got a notification that my password had been changed, and Meta correctly advised me that I was in Adelaide.
I received another email from Meta, with the same timestamp, informing me that someone had logged in from Darwin.
If it wasn’t me, I was asked to let them know.
How can they simultaneously get my location right, and 3,000 km away?
I know that Adelaide and Darwin are in the same time zone, but they are not on the same Longitude or Latitude.
Do these companies know where you are?
Maybe, maybe not , who can tell?
If you use a VPN, it’s even less likely that they’ll have a clue.
If you want to use a VPN but don’t want to pay for one, use the Opera web browser , it has one built in that’s free.
Anyway, enough about where you are, what about who you are?
As I said, the Internet only knows what you tell it.
That’s why I never use Google or Apple to log in to any site.
Always and only email .
Often a fake email as well.
Fastmail allows you to generate as many fake email addresses as you like, and they’ll be redirected to your selected email address.
Any site that won’t let me use an email address I don’t use.

When you listen to successful people, not just online marketers, they’ll tell you about all the stuff that didn’t work .
I used to drink with a self-made millionaire occasionally.
He owned the pub where we drank, and at least three others in the same town.
He owned two major transport companies , a car dealership, a truck dealership, two petrol stations, and several other businesses.
He tried to buy a bank , but couldn’t quite get all the shares he needed.
He had also gone bankrupt twice .
He told me once that he’d been watching me and said I wasn’t pushing hard enough.
He said I needed to go broke at least once to learn how to be successful.
That scenario wasn’t something to aspire to with a family and a mortgage to support.
However, he had a point.
Most people don’t take risks at all and lead very safe lives.
They also never achieve much.
Some people take massive risks, and some of them have massive success, but that’s not guaranteed .
The secret is that when you take a risk of any size, no one but you knows if it fails.
Other people only recognise success, so until you’re successful, you can take all the risks you like and learn from what doesn’t work.
Regards, Brent.
P.S. One thing that you took a risk on, then never did anything with, is a PLR product.
You bought it because you could see that it did have a lot of appeal and people would buy it, but that stopped there.
Once you took delivery, you didn’t do what you thought you would.
There are reasons for this.
You got interrupted and never got back to it.
You realised that the effort to make it yours was too great.
You weren’t quite sure what to do with it.
Etc. I’ve done the same, and I have Mb of PLR to prove it.
That’s why I made this GPT.
It was for my benefit, really, and it works great .
However, I decided that you might appreciate some assistance with your saved PLR goodies.
