I was asked to help automate a process for a fellow marketer.

Essentially this involves getting data from a spreadsheet and pasting it into a form which is then submitted.

In terms of programming this is a fairly simple process, except in this case.

The process involves logging into a website first, navigating to the form which happens to be dynamic.

What that means is that as data is pasted the form changes.

Some things need to be pasted in in a particular order or it doesn’t work.

There is an excellent tool built into every Mac which very few people use that is designed to automate things.

I haven’t used it before so I decided to use ChatGPT to help speed up my learning curve.

Wow, did it ever speed things up.

In a matter of days I had a working automation from scratch.

The code ChatGPT created was a little clumsy, but it did work.

I had to guide it a bit as I discovered more about what was required, but I think that someone with no previous coding knowledge could have done the same.

Maybe not as fast, but by reporting errors and asking for instructions on how to use the code they would have got there.

I can’t tell you the person’s name or the website I was doing the work on, but I can tell you that I’m guessing that he’s making between $15k – $30k per month for doing about two hours ‘work’.

My automation will reduce that to about 1/2 hour.

What he has done is brilliant, under-the-radar, and highly profitable.

It’s simple, requires no technical knowledge, and is essentially a copy paste task.

All this to prove to you that making money online does not have to be hard or complicated.

All you need to do is find a problem people have and solve it for them.

When you do that well they will pay you for it.

Apparently, making 10 pins daily is only enough to warm-up Pinterest.

Once you’ve done that for a week it seems that you’ll need to ramp that up.

How many?

50+ every day until you’re getting the traffic you want.

So, how do you make 50+ pins every day without working 12 hour days?

You use AI of course.

Feed ChatGPT the keywords relating to your board.

Ask for 50 titles related to those keywords.

Ask for a short description for each of those keywords.

Ask for the output to be put in a table.

Copy the table and paste it into a spreadsheet.

Download the spreadsheet as a CSV file.

Go to Canva and open a Pins template.

Get your design how you want it with a headline field and a description field.

You can upload your CSV file and map the headline and description fields to your template.

Click the create button and you’ll get 50 pins.

You might have to modify them a little.

Canva can upload each of those pins separately or as a bundle, don’t do them as a bundle.

This will take you an hour or so the first time you do it, but you’ll get faster.

By the time you’ve done this for another week or so you will be getting decent traffic to whatever site you’ve linked to.

One little tip that I learned recently is to make little videos for the background on some of these pins.

Apparently the motion makes them stand out more causing the scroller to stop and click.

I haven’t tried that yet so it’s still heresay, but it does make sense.

I built this page 100% with a new, to me, AI tool.

What’s unique about this one is that it’s a desktop tool, and it’s free.

For now at least, there is a pro level which is extremely low-cost.

The training videos I found on YouTube are pretty good and this is powerful.

The page you see above has a dynamic graph and the form works to calculate how much your Bitcoin would be worth today if you invested in any year back to 2019.

Now I’m not a fan of Bitcoin, but there are millions of people who are and they want to know that investing in this cryptocurrency might give them a decent return.

Because of the rather complex coding and the need to access historical data this took a bit of back and forth with the tool.

Then I asked it to convert the web page it did build to a WordPress page.

Overall it probably took several hours, but I don’t think I could have done that in a single day let alone a part day.

Often when people offer you a plugin for Chrome they’ll at the very least suggest that it won’t work in other web browsers.

That’s not true.

Any web browser that’s based on the Chromium core will handle any plugin for the Chrome web browser, except one.

The one web browser that will not accept a Chrome plugin is the DuckDuckGo web browser because it is tightly secure.

It won’t accept any browser plugins because they could introduce security issues.

That makes it ideal for watching YouTube videos because YouTube cannot insert their ads into the videos – woohoo.

If the creator has inserted their own advert in the video you’ll still see them, but you won’t see the YouTube insertions.

OK, other than that exception, which web browsers do work with the Chrome plugins?

Opera.

Brave.

Vivaldi.

Arc.

Edge.

SRWare Iron.

Epic.

Ungoogled-chromium.

Avast.

Comodo Dragon.

These are ones that I have used that stop YouTube, and by extension Google, data collecting your online activities.

For me the bottom line is that using Chrome makes me the product for Google, and I don’t like that.

Incidentally, that’s also why I’ve stopped using a mobile phone with an Android OS.

OK, all this was triggered by a video about the Keywords Everywhere plugin where it was stated that it wouldn’t work in anything but Chrome.

Nope, it works fine in all those other web browsers, and there is a plugin for Firefox so you are not restricted to one browser.

Why use this keyword tool?

It’s free for basic searching, and dirt cheap for the pro level.

It’s almost as good as Ahrefs and way cheaper.

The only thing that Keywords Everywhere won’t do for you is get the People Also Ask keywords.

Over a period of days he made over 200 songs with this tool and ended up with enough good ones that he could make 5 albums.

Or, you could put them to a video and post them to a YouTube channel.

People use YouTube music clips as background music for parties, etc.

Well, probably not.

Tonight we were out with friends at a Thai restaurant and an Uber Eats delivery person came in.

Nothing unusual about that.

Pretty common really, except the driver was in a Tesla.

Now that’s odd.

The speculation ran riot at our table.

He had a well-paid job which enabled him to buy the Tesla, and then he lost it.

He just likes to keep busy and likes to deliver food, but he doesn’t need the money.

Uber Eats is the most profitable side-hustle you could have.

I have no idea why he was delivering food in a Tesla, but I doubt the income from Uber Eats deliveries could pay for the car.

The only upside I could think of is that he thinks his running costs would be lower than running a small petrol powered car.

I think he might find out otherwise.

I’ve talked recently about setting up a website or blog targeting very low competition keywords.

Keywords that people are searching for today, not historically low competition keywords.

As I said then, you can rank for these keywords easily because no serious player is targeting them.

Some people think that this is a waste of time because you’ll need to post quite a few pages to get decent traffic, except that’s not true.

You promote these pages on high traffic sites such as Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, et al.

As the traffic from these sites grows, your ranking also grows and you’ll start ranking for keywords you’re not targeting.

All of that brings people to your door.

Now what do you do with them?

You run links in your posts, you post ads in the sidebar and between paragraphs.

You’ve seen sites that do that.

Some of them are so ad heavy it’s hard to find the text.

Don’t go that nuts, but definitely place ads on your pages.

Some of those ads go to bridge pages for products, some go direct to sales pages.

All of these links open in a new page because you want to keep the visitor on your site and keep them clicking.

Sure, the CTR will be lower than highly targeted pages, but the volume of clicks make it worth while.

Finding the keywords, creating the posts, and posting them doesn’t have to take hours.

In South Africa, there is a flower that only one insect can access.

Orphium flowers don’t contain nectar. Instead, they provide bees with pollen.

Yet, not every insect can access the pollen.

If you look closely at an orphium flower, you’ll find that the stamens are twisted, preventing the pollen from being stolen by visiting insects.

Only one insect has access to the pollen in that Orphium flower.

That insect is the female carpenter bee.

When she approaches the Orphium flower, her flapping wings buzz.

Yet that sound doesn’t get the flower to react, and the stamens remain locked.

At this point, the bee changes the beat of her wings, creating what we’d call the C note.

That simple act seemingly gets the flower to unlock and shower the bee with pollen.

WOW!

A flower that is reacting to a single sound and a single type of insect that understands how to make that sound.

Maybe those people who say you have to talk nicely to your plants or play them classical music are correct.

OK, now for the strange segue.

The marketing message here is that the visitors to your pages will react more favourably to your message when it resonates with them.

To do that you need to hang out where they hang out and learn their language.

Then you use the same language to talk to them and they’ll accept you as one of them.

Your message will have a much greater impact when you do that.
