Quite by chance I’ve read several books lately on meditation and mindfulness. The current book is quite fascinating and confirms what I’ve believed for many years. It’s called It’s the thought that counts and is written by David R Hamilton PhD. https://www.amazon.com/Thought-That-Counts-David-Hamilton-ebook/dp/B003JQLEMU?_encoding=UTF8&dib_tag=se&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.oSo01Vd_Yp5luvMHeQMwYX0Y4cm-Siuh0UvyX9dMDHsIGDp2dkFvqpKvq_KEgpPZivzIQcoaVcPfU2PEg6h6LGRhg5qeFhHaiQp9MUCtWWViyl8BMArcQ3nKd4Pw0XqZYTMzfxWUAgn_FJoIvnJUS3pw0fsqbquYV3xIUtQ6M6s_lLF3quulKGQycyb2v5NOlJpCE_DTrN7dfy6o2Dpvn_NyS_a2f2S_p6iM8xi_CB8.a_leWDDJNGhzZI8k1O4N4UzBUnM1i-2lVEQqFQ31yYM&&sr=8-8&&&&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl. David is/was a scientist who studied drugs and medicine. In the book he talks about why placebos work, why people with healing hands can really help others heal. There is so much in this book that relates to your well being, your relationships with others, your ability to build a successful life or business that I think I’ll have to read it several times. He also touches on something that’s fascinating. He talks about memories being a whole body thing, not just your mind. Kind of like a hologram, you remember those? They seem to have dropped out of favour, but the idea was that any part of a hologram contains the data for the whole image. If you’re bodymind connection is like that we need to work out how to access everything. Anyway, grab it and devour it. The book is cheap, but the value is massive.
