Have you ever heard or read that when you search for a keyword in Google there must be ads for it to be a good keyword?

What if I told you that’s BS advice?

I’ve talked about this before, but I’ll say it again.

In every large group of people there are people who will click on your ads and buy stuff.

There are some who will subscribe to your email list.

When there are sufficiently large volumes of people that other marketers are not targeting that’s a goldmine for smart people like you.

Because it’s so much easier to get high rankings for those unloved keywords.

You can write a useful blog post, get about 20 backlinks, and you’ll be #1 in the search results.

No, one blog post won’t do it, but 20 might.

You could do it with a single post if you buy the traffic from Google.

That would be called traffic arbitrage.

Turning $0.50 clicks into $12 clicks.

When the keywords are unloved SEO is easy so buying visitors isn’t the best option really.

Finding these keywords does take a little work and a useful keyword tool is keywords everywhere.

While opens are not the accurate metric we would like them to be, if your subscribers don’t open your emails they cannot click the links to buy, so more opens means more sales.

The one thing you can do in 20 minutes, or less, is to write a better subject line.

Your emails are always in a crowded inbox.

There are hundreds of unopened emails in there that your subscriber scrolls though every day.

If your subject line doesn’t get them to stop scrolling it’s failed.

It’s joined the ranks of what’s effectively the dead-letter office.

After a few months of not opening your emails they’ll unsubscribe or worse mark your emails as spam.

But they cannot click a link or buy if they don’t open your email first.

And they won’t open your email if the subject line doesn’t pique their interest and stop them scrolling.

Following trends can make you money fast.

Head over to trends.google.com and either just look at the top ten overall or whatever niche you’re in.

This method is all about monetising traffic volumes.

So, you need a page with ads all over it as you’ve no doubt seen many times.

You ask ChatGPT to write you a 1,000 word blog post on the trending topic.

Split that post up over several pages to keep the visitors clicking.

Use this tool, https://go.wm-tips.com/insight. to find keywords around that trend.

Use those longer-tail keywords to make short videos for TikTok and YouTube shorts.

Link back to your blog post.

The traffic should arrive fast, peak and then die down.

Rinse and repeat.

You could make pages and videos in a matter of hours and have traffic in minutes after posting.

This is a short-term project, but if you need money fast this is the fastest way I know.

Some of those pages will continue to produce for months after, so it’s not all wasted, but don’t expect to build a long-term business this way.

Most of you will know about Boston Dynamics and their robot dogs and bi-pedal robots.

The development of these things is amazing and they’re developing rapidly.

But these are just robots with limited abilities outside of their programming.

However, there’s a new player in the market who has been developing self-navigating capabilities into their AI controlled robots.

They’re using the same technology that is built into self-driving cars and utilising the vast database of real-world scenarios to train the AI in recognising the things is sees.

The projection is that you’ll be able to buy one of these for help around the home or anywhere you might want one, as long as you can pay the price, which hasn’t been announced yet but won’t be cheap.

TBH, I’m not sure if this is good or bad yet.

The potential is there to go either way.

It will probably come down to what hard-coded principles the robots have.

Just like Robert Heinlein proposed in his books.

I’m really interested in what you think about this.

Ferrari have released an SUV.

They call it a FUV, and you can translate that acronym any way you like.

It’s the first 4-door, 4-seat vehicle they have built in their entire history.

They have had 4-seaters before, but the rear seat passengers had to be pretty small to fit comfortably.

I really don’t see the point, other than a couple of extremely well-heeled customers requested one.

At something north of $700k each you’re not going to see too many in your suburb, or mine for that matter.

We all see similar things being offered in the marketing world.

At the moment it’s a lot of BS type AI prompts that you could create better yourself if you spend a few hours playing with the tools and trying things out.

There have been some reports of Google shutting down pure AI content sites, but while that’s true, it’s not because they’re AI created sites, it’s because the content is rubbish.

These are sites that lazy people have made using the PCP method.

That’s Prompt Copy Paste.

This site –

seafishinglures.net/

– has 83 pages indexed in the Google SERPs.

Over 1/2 of those are AI generated and there will be a lot more later.

They were not generated by the PCP method, but some of them were 100% AI generated and posted.

They still got indexed.

I’m not suggesting that you should build sites using PCP, but there is nothing wrong with mixing AI generated content with human input.

It certainly speeds up the process.

Anyway, building big websites for affiliate or adsense income does work, but it is always going to be laborious even with the help of AI.

It’s not the best way to generate affiliate commissions though.

The best way is to have highly targeted pages that pre-sell visitors to the sales page, then drive visitors to that page.

There will always be someone smarter and someone dumber who are already doing what you want to do.

And they’ll be doing it successfully.

The smarter one because they will have got out of their way and just done it.

The dumber one because they didn’t know it was supposed to be hard.

So what’s holding you back?

Probably you’re over thinking things.

You’re trying to solve problems that haven’t happened and may never happen.

You can’t burn the bridge until you get to it, and it’s best if you’ve already crossed it before setting it alight.

The aim is to sell a product that’s a solution to a problem that people have.

The better the solution and the bigger the problem the more money you can make.

That’s marketing simplified.

I have a plugin for WordPress that shows people what the DMARC, SPF, and DKIM records in their DNS are.

Anyone who is doing email marketing needs to know about these three acronyms and how to set them up.

They have to do with getting your emails delivered and not marked as spam by the email clients.

Now, I could just have this on my website to get the traffic, but I want to put this in the WordPress plugin market as a freebie because that way I can help a lot more people.

It doesn’t hurt that there is a link to my DMARC Analyser page either.
