Facebook is getting more toxic by the day. My Facebook account is almost a private group. I accept very few friend requests and make even fewer. In the last two days, I’ve had two that I granted. One was an error on my part, and the other looked OK but turned out to be an error.
Inflation is the tool Governments use to reduce the cost of their debt. Who says the ‘right’ level of inflation is 2%? Why should you constantly have to pay more for the same product? Who says the ‘right’ level of inflation is 2%?
Why should you constantly have to pay more for the same product?
When the financial gurus say that inflation has eased from 4% to 3.8%, all they are really saying is that prices are going up a little more slowly, but they are still going up.
I don’t really think I have to explain this to you because you and I know that it costs a bit more for the same stuff every time you shop.
The only things you can do about that are cut back on non-essential spending, get a pay rise (good luck with that), get a second job, or win the lottery.
If getting a second job is your best option, perhaps you should consider working for yourself as an online business person.
It won’t pay out as fast as getting a job mowing lawns, but it is far more scaleable, and you won’t lose a customer when they can’t afford your services.
There are thousands of profitable niches available to work in, but the one thing most online businesses say they struggle with is traffic.
That’s not true.
What they struggle with is converting their traffic to subscriptions and sales.
Once you have that locked in, you can buy as much traffic as you want, provided the ROI is positive.
How do people get good conversions?
The time-tested method was to buy traffic.
Split-test the landing page or sales page.
Pick a winner, then test again.
With cold traffic, you can often get a sales page to convert at 20% over the course of a week or six of testing and tweaking.
People with good copywriting skills often start with both test pages converting at 1% – 2% and can break even on their traffic costs.
That’s a nice place to be, but what if your copywriting skills are not good?
You could run four or more split tests before you make a sale.
How’s your ROI looking now?
Using AI with the prompts given to you here will make your initial sales pages convert well enough that you do better than break even when testing and tweaking.
Now, that’s a much better place to start from.
Now you can run more tests because they don’t cost you a cent.

I pushed the car a bit to get there in time. And we did, but … The workers were on strike. No tours today. We will try again on Thursday. It’s a bit harder because we are now in Townsville, which is a two-hour drive to Tully for the tour. Still, workers are allowed to strike.
It’s time to move on. We did a test drive through part of the road we’ll be using tomorrow. The map, admittedly an older one, shows the road as being sub-standard. I don’t like dragging our 23-year-old caravan over rough roads. I have done it very slowly, without any damage to the van, but I don’t like it.
Since we are still on holiday and in Queensland, I’m not planning much. Since leaving home, other than driving long distances, I have created a few videos, set up a system to get others to promote those videos, set up an auto-blogging system, and written quite a few emails.

Since leaving home, other than driving long distances, I have created a few videos, set up a system to get others to promote those videos, set up an auto-blogging system, and written quite a few emails.
We’ve also been on train, boat, bus, and a gondola-based cable car ride.
I’ve donated fishing tackle to a lake.
Some people call it fishing.
I call it casting practice and sometimes tackle donating.

The last little viral hack proved a little more difficult than I expected.
If you’re following along and decided to put that into action, it’s really easy.
But, if you’re like me and always want to push the boundaries a little, there was an unexpected challenge.
My new channel currently has two videos, and I decided to try to make them both go viral.
Managing that hack for one video is relatively simple.
Step one: Set up a new email address somewhere.
Step two: Turn on the Out-of-Office feature.
Step three: Write an Out-of-Office email with the link to the bonus.
See? Simple.
But when you try to do this for two videos and want to send a different bonus for each video, it doesn’t work unless you have a new email address for each video.
What happens when you want to do this for five or ten videos?
I did come up with an answer that I have implemented.
It involved creating a page for each video to which the description links.
That page gives instructions to the visitor on what to do to get a bonus.
One of the instructions is to send an email with a set subject line.
Then, I used Make to grab the email, filter for the subject line, and email a link to the appropriate bonus.
When I want to add another video or other content to this group, I need to clone the page, change two things, and add another branch into the Make scenario.
About 5 minutes work.
That’s actually less time than it would take to set up a new email address with another out-of-office email.
If you would like to do something similar, email me and ask.
They are simply clickbait and have no relationship with what’s inside. Then there are those stupid faces images. The ones where the presenter has a look of surprise or horror. Mouth open, googly eyes, etc. I understand that the thumbnail has to stop the viewer scrolling.
For those of you who actually read this far, I have a seven-second hack that can make any content go viral.
Offer a bonus to anyone who shares your content on social media or via their email list.
Do not add these people to your email list by making them subscribe for the bonus.
Ask them to email you with a screenshot of their email or post.
Set up a unique email address for this and have it respond with the out-of-office trigger but with the link to the bonus and an offer to join your email list.
You can use Gmail for this because it works fine.
Regards, Brent.
P.S. What sort of bonus?
How about a cheat sheet on the subject of the content?
True story. Yesterday, we were treated to a presentation by a marine biologist. She told us that during the Covid years, the big fish in the Cairns Aquarium began behaving as though they were depressed. The staff were puzzled until they noticed that the fish were paying a lot more attention to them as they moved around than usual.
My trainer said so. I can’t show you yet because I created a new channel for it and Google, in their quest for ever more data points, insists on verifying my identity before permitting me to have clickable links or my thumbnail choice. Do you log in to Google when you view videos?

Do you log in to Google when you view videos?
You know, so they can help you find more of the type of video you like to watch.
I never log into Google unless I want to check emails, build a video channel, or use their platform in other ways.
I’ve found that the Brave web browser allows me to log into Google in one window, but Google doesn’t see every window, just the one I’ve logged into.
I like that, so I have one window for Google Drive, where I’m logged in.
I have a different window for my email accounts.
Another different window for the AI tools I use.
I watch most of the training videos in the DuckDuckGo web browser because it blocks all those pesky third-party ads and doesn’t show that montage of videos at the end.
You do get a carousel of the videos in the channel you’ve just watched, but that’s all.
So grab both of those.
They’re free and stop using Chrome, the Google tracking bot.
